"I just felt strange on that Monday afternoon. I told my wife that there was something wrong. I took some aspirin and called 9-1-1. Less than 15 minutes after making the call, I was in Crestwood’s ER. 41 minutes later, I had a stent in place through emergent balloon angioplasty and was being wheeled out of the cardiac cath lab. Well under an hour from the time I left my house in an ambulance to the time my procedure was complete…wow! It was rapid and my cardiologist detected no damage to my heart muscle. Ten days later, I returned to Crestwood to have two more blockages cleared and stents placed via an elective balloon angioplasty. Thanks to Crestwood, there was barely any interruption in my consulting work. My wife and I continue to volunteer with Meals on Wheels and other programs as we always have.
