Speech therapists (also known as speech-language pathologists) evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with a wide variety of conditions that affect oral motor skills, swallowing and speech/language abilities. Speech therapists at Crestwood Medical Center work closely with neurologists, ENT (ear, nose and throat) doctors and other specialists to thoroughly evaluate patients and treat a variety of conditions.
The speech therapy services offered at Crestwood Medical Center include:
- Speech, language and swallowing evaluations and treatment for inpatients
- Modified barium swallow studies with videotape (performed with a radiologist)
- Inpatient and outpatient services
- Dysphagia therapy
