Back-to-Back Gold: Crestwood Housekeeper Wins at Special Olympics, Again

Huntsville, AL — For the second year in a row, James Irvin, a member of the Environmental Services team at Crestwood Medical Center, has bowled his way to the top.
James recently attended the 2026 Special Olympics Alabama State Summer Games, held at Troy University. Competing against athletes from across the state, James posted a personal record of 117 and successfully defended his gold medal standing from last year.
While showing off his bowling technique, James says concentration is key. “My coach tells me to stay focused,” said James. “You take two steps and bend your knees.”
James’ back-to-back gold medal performances are a reflection of the dedication, perseverance and positive attitude he demonstrates every day at Crestwood.
